We would like to wish all our listeners a very happy new year! 2020 has presented us all with unforeseen challenges and hardship and as we finally emerge from the other side it is time to look ahead to 2021 and prepare for the journey to come. Although 2020 has been a struggle we have strived to grow our podcast and we’re very grateful to you all for tuning in and listening. Our listenership has risen 50% over the previous year which continues to grow and so we’re committed to improving and delivering the best we can in the coming year!

So what’s coming up in 2021?

Our first order of business is reviewing the New Year’s Day special Revolution of the Daleks. We’ll be giving an instant reaction during a special episode of Cloister Bell Podcast | The After Show over on our YouTube channel. Head on over and smash that subscribe button so you don’t miss out on that! We’d also like to invite you all to listen live to our recording session for the main podcast. You can do that by becoming a member of our Discord server and simply listening to our Recording Studio channel. Tell us your thoughts about the story and we’ll read out your responses on the podcast.

Our series of classic reviews began earlier on in 2020 and comes to a conclusion this January as we enter the era of the Sixth and Seventh Doctors. Our Colin Baker reviews are currently being edited and in those we revisit Revelation of the Daleks and Vengeance on Varos. Our first of two selected stories to revisit McCoys era will be Ghost Light. Make sure to get in touch with us and tell us your thoughts on this one!

Also this year Liam deviates from the television stories and revisits some classic books from the 1991 Seventh Doctor range of Virgin New Adventures. The first of these stories is called Timewyrm: Genesys and Liam will be sharing some insight on that on the podcast in due course.

All work and no play?

Let’s start to have a bit more fun this year. We’ve updated our Games page with a few Doctor Who themed word searches. So make that cuppa, get comfy and give them a go. We’ll be making the occasional quiz too so keep your browser locked to cloisterbellpodcast.com for more.
